Changing last name

Congrats ,First you have to go to Social security' office and change your name here in my state ( VA) then go to DMV to change license name. I hope that helps you a little,

As PP said, the first step is social security. Then you change your drivers license and passport (if you have one). Then you can start reaching out to the bank, credit cards, utilities, etc. Most of everyone else just wanted to see a copy of my marriage certificate and new drivers license. There’s a form you can fill out online for social security, as well as passport. For drivers license, the process will be dependent of whatever state you’re in.
