Celebrity China... scam?!

I went to a bridal show today and received a call that I won 2 Crystal champagne flutes as well as a 3 day/2 night hotel package trip. We need to go in and sit through their presentation where they cook for you using their cookware.
It seems too good to be true so I did some research and have found mixed reviews but most of them are over 5 years old. Some say that they go and it’s a high pressured sales environment where they push you to buy their overpriced cookware before you get your prizes.
I also saw a few people who said they sat through it and found it worth it for the prize? But some said they didn’t get the prize at all? Anyone have any personal experience with it ? We truly have no interest in buying their cookware, but we will sit through their presentation for a free vacation If that is really all we need to do. Note : I do know that we would have to pay the taxes for the hotel stay.

    Not a scam but a sales presentation. We bought the pots and overpriced. I could kick my fh for that lol.

    I never got back with them because I felt like it was an “everyone wins” scam. Same as celebrate your sexy.

    You get the vacation no matter what just hang out for their presentation. We are actually using their comp for a trip to San Diego California for our honey moon. And we actually bought some of their cookware totally worth it and soooo much better than I what I had and I have family they have had theirs in the family for like 70 years and it still looks so nice. We also actually got a cruise vacation from them when we bought from them

    Have you had family buy things from this company? Have you received the pans and cruise thing? I have seen mixed reviews about Celebrity China and Cookware. I also recently bought a pan set as of a couple days ago and want to make sure it is worth it. It seems like a great deal with everything it came with, so I am just doing my research and asking around.

    We just spent $2500 on a pot pan set, with "free knives and 4 piece bakeware set" and a 5 day cruise that we need to spend 600 on taxes for...We did this last night and now I am really questioning our decision. Should we call our credit card company to cancel any payment that goes through???

    My fiancé and I just went to one of these and decided to “upgrade” our cookware set and get one of their sets, we traded out the cruise for some of the china but we’re considering using the hotel stay. I’m curious if you got your set and if it was worth it, we’re also very unsure and did not research any of the company before going in to the presentation. I’m wondering how your experience turned out and if you ended up going back on the decision. We were smart enough to put the payments on a credit card in case we needed to dispute any charges. Just wondering if anyone has any post purchase experiences? Thankful for anyone that can share some knowledge!

    We cancelled the order the next day. Customer service was very helpful but they said if the order would have gone through you can't cancel or return the order. Completely stuck with an overpriced product. You can buy the same product on amazon for $800. It's not worth it. Cancel it and run. We are SO thankful we did not go through with it. The reviews were all regret and they glorify the product.

    I am going through the exact same thing right now! If you happen to see this, did you call you credit card company and tell them that you just wanted to cancel those payments?

    Most states have a law where you can notify a company within 3 days to cancel any obligations you took on. I think this can work with wedding dresses and especially with something like this. For others, it is definitely not good to order something through these gimmicks.

    We called Celebrity customer service to cancel it all. I think my fiancee also called his credit card too.

    They may not be scam, but they're AWFUL!!! Don't even consider purchasing anything from them. Their cookware is awful and useless, not at all how they try to present it. I tried reaching out to them to return, and they sent someone to my house to "teach us how to use their products"... don't fall into this trap like we did

    The only reason I said it may not technically qualify as scam, is because the company is legit I suppose. They are one of the main sponsors in many bridal/engaged shows, so I'd assume they have to be legit for them to be able to do that. If I go only based on our experience, then 100% scam. But I guess I'm trying hard to see a little bit of positive... Smiley laugh
