Catalina Island

Has anyone gone to Catalina Island for their honeymoon? I can’t travel far due to health condition(even on plane), so was wondering if it was a good place for that? If not, any suggestions for honeymoon places near California/Vegas or even near New Mexico?

    Catalina is gorgeous. I've never been but I lived in Southern Cali. Def a couples location. Or even consider Temecula or Palm Springs. Really depends on what you're trying to do at the location.

    We've had a couple of good 2-3 day trips to Catalina. The best one was in December, so definitely off-season. We went parasailing and ziplined, both in December. The Conservancy tours of the island are really good too. Other favorite short trips in So Cal are Santa Barbara (stay in a B&B downtown, wine tasting in Santa Inez, hike the Botanical Gardens, check from concerts at the Arlington Theatre, etc.) -- so much to do -- or San Diego (the Zoo and/or Safari Park, Temecula wine tasting, Old Towne and/or the Gaslight District, tour the USS Midway, hot air balloon out of Del Mar, etc.).
