I got a black Calvin Klein cocktail dress, reg price $109 for $7.99. I got a black off the shoulder cocktail dress for $3.99. Both are too informal for this wedding, but you bet your bottom dollar I'm keeping them for when I need them!!

That dress is beautiful and should be great for a formal wedding. If you can find a beautiful fur (faux or real) wrap, it will add an additional level of elegance.

I think its fine and wouldn’t be offended if you wore this to my wedding. Everyone knows who the bride is so I never really got the whole don’t wear white thing. But then again I usually try to avoid all traces of white at weddings since everyone’s different.

I think it's fine. i think the whole rule of don't be in white really just is if it's an all white gown that can be mistaken for a wedding dress aha otherwise i think it's fine that a part of the dress is white

It's a lovely dress and it doesn't look at all like a "white gown." It clearly has white in it, but it doesn't look remotely bridal. I don't think there's a risk of annoying the bride.
