Buyers remorse

Renee, on September 2, 2019 at 6:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21
Anyone else regret a purchase during this planning process? Mine, the veil. I couldn’t believe how expensive those things were. I heard they were pricey but I didn’t think they could cost just as much as the gown! Lordt.... bless my pockets!

So far only two: my veil and the extra invitations and RSVP cards. We originally intended to invite more people, but some recent events have changed that.

It wasn't any more than $20 for everything, but still....

That's what I'm saying lol. I joked with my FH that these "problem people" cost me $20.

I’m afraid of potential “problem people”. I haven’t even sent out save the dates and 1 person has told me she can come and can’t come in a week. I’m thinking who said you were invited?!?

Hahaha gotta love those that are self-confidence. I had a friend ask me if we were invited and I flat out said, "we weren't even invited to your wedding last year!".

I totally understood why. The groom and I (whom I'm still friends with to this day) go all the way back to dating for a couple years in high school. Things weren't great and his mom has always seen me as "that girl". Smiley xd Smiley xd Like seriously Susan this was like 15 years ago.

I regret like everything Smiley laugh Really wish I had stuck with our original plan of a courthouse wedding. I really didn't think wedding planning would be this stressful or expensive!

Hey, I feel you. Everything isn’t for everybody. Hopefully things turn out well for you! No stressing! It’s not worth it! My motto is, if it doesn’t happen it wasn’t meant to be! Save the dates don’t happen, oh well. You’ll get an invite. DJ bails, somebody as Spotify or pandora! And supermarket cakes taste great!

My wedding sash. It’s gorgeous and I got an INSANE deal on it but my dress now looks better without a sash! I could’ve used the money on something else, like fancy lipstick! 😭

It is pretty! Maybe you can make a headpiece out of it? Or wear it for engagement party/bridal shower/rehearsal dinner? Whichever is next on your list I mean.

I have a gorgeous pearl flower crown or I’d do just that! I might wear it to my after party but it just feels like a complete waste of money. Buyers remorse for sure.

I put stamps on all the return envelopes for RSVPS... definitely wasted a solid $45 on that. Most people never sent them back.

Omg, someone just mentioned to me, not to do this! I was looking forward to opening and seeing who was coming!! But I think I might splurge the 50 bucks on stamps that way if they don’t respond I can save on catering... No RSVP no dinner card for you! Too harsh??!! LOL

What I think is funny is almost all.of our declines sent the card back. It was our accepts that didnt! We are under our original caterer headcount now... no extra money! Lol.

My FH's wedding band. Luckily there was a 90 day return policy so we were able to return and find something we liked better.. but for a solid two weeks it was ALL I talked about to him...
