Cups! No, seriously. I was worried too because I'm on the bustier side, but between David's Bridal's torsolette(a corset with built in strapless bra) and some cups my dress fits nicely:

You can have alterations done to add a bra to a dress for extra support, but it can be costly. Sometimes a corset dress with cups added can get the same effect.

I am a 34G and always struggle to buy bras, bathing suits, etc. I actually went braless on my wedding day. My dress was a Maggie Sotterro fit and flare with a built in corset. Fitted properly and tightly, I actually needed no additional support and everything fit great. This pictures is actually from the day I bought it, prior to alterations.

Wow that is beautiful on you. Looks like we are similar body types. I always get nervous about strapless - did you find yourself feeling like you needed to pull up your dress at all throughout the day or did everything pretty much stay put?

My dress has straps so that helps a lot. and I agree with Kathryn get cups put in. I had them put in for a bridesmaid dress last year and went braless like if I could do that with all my clothing I totally would lol. My dress has a lot of support already with the straps but having the cups built in will make it even more comfortable.

View Quoted Comment Thank you! And yeah, towards the end of the night I did find myself needing some adjustment, but I imagine that is because the corset loosened a bit over the course of the day. I originally was not interested in strapless, but when the consultant put me in this dress, I just knew it was my dress. I think a corset plus a dress that has some sort of strap/sleeve may be even more comfortable.

DB added cups to mine and it did nothing. My girls look very elderly lol. I had straps added, but I prefer to not use them during the ceremony. Waiting for a 2nd alterations appt to hopefully make some changes. Following this thread

I'm a 34DDD so I understand the dilemma of finding something fits right. I have never had success with strapless bras. But corsets are very comfortable and supportive in my experience and you don't have straps to deal with

34G/36F cup here who really isn't comfortable with cleavage or feeling not supported! My dress has boning in it as well as a sheer illusion neckline. I don't need a bra at all and have done a lot of bouncing around, leaning forward, etc. in it.

If you like strapless, with a good seamstress you can have cups sewn in. In my experience with strapless/backless, tape also works WONDERS (sports/medical/gaffers tape).

Believe it or not, the only style of dress that worked for me and ended up being minimizing was strapless. I'm a 30H cup! The key is finding a top notch alterations person. I had a custom made strapless bra sewn into my dress itself. I looked several sizes smaller and had pretty much no cleavage at all. I would highly recommend trying strapless

I had the same dress at Kathryn but I did not add cups to mine. When I first tried on the dress I was a 34GG and then gained weight and by the wedding I was a 36I. I did add the modesty piece because it ended up being too much boob. Your seamstress can work magic. The back of the dress was sheer and I was able to go braless. Just have fun when you go try on dresses and they will clip and hold you where they need to, to make sure you can visualize the end look. I tried on a lot of style and was going to go braless regardless lol! Good luck!

The wedding day.

I was a 34DDD and street size 8 for reference at the time. I were a ball gown with good boning along the torso. I did one of those tape on bras, which I hated but did the job. I think I bought mine off of Amazon. I had a beautiful lace back that I didn’t want distracted by bra straps. I still felt like I was showing too much cleavage with a sweetheart neckline, so I had my seamstress put in a modesty panel.

I threw in the towl and decided to not wear a wedding gown. Most of the women with big busts as large as mine 32DDD are heavy set, but I'm a size 4 so that made trying to find a wedding gown even more difficult.

I'm not exactly the same body type as you but I do have trouble finding clothes/bras (I'm 28F or 30E) and I was really concerned about being able to find a bra for my dress before I ever tried dresses on. The best thing you can do is to buy a dress that covers everything you want covered (a dress that looked like a cute V-neck on the model looked like a two-sizes-too-small bikini on me) and have it altered to give you the shape and support you need. Having my dress pinned on when I went for my first fitting made me understand why some people who can get away with it actually prefer not to wear bras.

I’m a 34G. strapless is the way I went. i have a smaller waist but busty and hippy. I loved the low back but ultimately couldn’t be comfortable in it. Corset allows more structure to hold them in place. I was impressed with the breast fit, and no alterations have been done yet.

I'm also 36DDD and I decided to fully embrace it lol and went with a pretty low cut.

I had cups sewn in, and made sure it was as snug as possible during alterations. The top was pretty heavily beaded, which I feel like really helped hold them in.

I had a strapless bra but it caused back fat (think stuffed sausage) so she ripped bra off -while I was still wearing dress and got the perfect cup for my sagging girls. I didn’t want strapless dress as I didn’t want to be tugging at dress all night. The dress ended up lower cut than I expected and I also did a modesty panel. I haven’t tried it on since first fitting but I’m confident the girls are locked and loaded and won’t be bouncing around. .

I was also worried about this as I'm also a 36DDD. But I got my dress with these very thin straps but it is corset lined making it stay in place without needing to wear a bra which is liberating
