Bustle on a fitted satin dress?

Michele, on August 28, 2021 at 3:18 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 4
Alright... I have mixed feelings on bustles to begin with, but the tiffany train on the dress I'm leaning towards feels like it completes the dress so I don't want to have it cut shorter to more "evening dress" length. Has anybody had a fit and flare satin dress with a bustle? If so, how were the points hidden, or were they at all visible?

Seamstress here! Usually the best type of bustle for that style is an under-bustle. Points are on the underside of the gown, loops at the bottom hem and not visible.

An under-bustle or hem bustle would be perfect! You could also go with an American bustle which typically only buttons/hooks in one or two places and is really discreet!

These videos show off a few different styles, but ultimately your seamstress will have the best suggestions based on your dress in person!
