Budget Weddings

How do people do it? I am genuinely curious.

I have been looking at venues and rental vendors all over St Louis, and every scenario that I can think of is roughly about $25k, if not extremely beyond $25k. That does include tax, gratuity, photo/video, dj, food, and coordinator for the day-of.
Please send advice! We do have over 75% of of guests traveling here, so I do have to keep in mind hotels and shuttle rentals.

I should’ve mentioned that we are estimating about 150 people. Each of our families are ginormous, and that’s only included the relatives that we like. I was great grandchild like 56 on my dads side back in 1995… 😅

First checkout the catering prices. It can often be $70 or more per person. So the food could easily take up a big chunk of your budget. Use the WeddingWire budgeting tool to start to figure out the pricing breakdown you could face. Their starting budget entries anticipate a wedding that is $33k. If you find a great price on a dress and suit, that can help. You can see which prices you can beat and which expenses you wouldn't avoid.
