Budget wedding

Virginia, on June 2, 2021 at 11:42 AM Posted in Connecticut Planning 0 2
I’m getting married next June and want to have a low budget wedding. My fiancé and I are in the process of moving and we just had a baby so money is a little tight. What are some good tips and tricks I can use to plan the big day?! I don’t want to spend more than $4,000. Thank you!

Hi Virginia! The biggest factors in the cost of your wedding will be when you get married (what month, day of the week, and time of day) and how big your guest list is! Each additional wedding guest multiples your costs, so the smaller your invite list the better. (Food & Booze can easily be $150 per person!)

The other big way to save money is to get married at an "off-peak" time - like having a weekday wedding or hosting an afternoon wedding reception with light food & drinks instead of a full meal.

Hi! We have a budget of $5,000 and my advice is to pick 2-3 things about the wedding that you absolutely must have and let budget dictate the rest. Our plan is to have more of a cake and punch style reception to cut cost as well. Good luck!
