So I recently got engaged and weve been discussing how to afford a semi wedding of our dreams but that would be close to 10,000 with everything including diy projects, food/venue cost sooo much, and we are only doing close friends and family but thats still 150. I am a young mom to a 1 year old and only make a certain amount that mostly goes to bills not to mention I am 21 so not far into working. None of my family is willing to help, ive also been in foster care since I was 7-19 so I have no idea how to afford a wedding, we dont want to wait more then two years and I dont know what to do!

    The easiest ways to save money are your wedding are to have a small guest list and to pick "non peak" wedding times, such as picking a different day than Saturday to celebrate, choosing a less expensive season to get married in your area (October has been the most popular month for a few years now!), or during a non-meal time like a brunch or afternoon cocktail reception!
