Hey hey, after lots of thinking and changing plans my fiancĂ© and I are going to do a brunch wedding!! We are set on it, it’s a lovely idea and exactly what we want to have the rest of the day for ourselves. Now any ladies out there doing a brunch wedding or have done one before? Tips, advice, where do you cater good breakfast food, day timeline, attire, amount of people, etc.! đŸ„

My parents did this in 1990 so I cant necessarily offer a lot of advice. However, the only thing my mom regrets was how early everyone needed to be up to get hair and makeup done and get ready. She and the rest of her family were awake at 5 for an 11am wedding and they didnt do anything professionally, and it was a time where first looks werent a thing so all photography happened after the ceremony. Just keep in mind your timeline and how early you and your partner are willing to get up if you still want to do all the traditional pre-wedding things or have professional hair and makeup and pre-ceremony photography involved.

Other than that I think a brunch wedding sounds awesome. A mimosa bar would be amazing!

My daughter also had a brunch wedding in August (ceremony started at 11). She had 2 hairdressers start at 6:00 for 4 people. The ceremony was about 20 min. Cocktail hour included a gourmet coffee/tea bar and mimosa bar (also beer/wine). Then a brunch buffet (frittatas, egg croissants, bacon/ham/sausage, country potatoes, salads, etc.) Instead of cake she had mini cinnabuns (assorted flavors/icing). It was over by 4. She and husband rented a party bus after for them and friends to then have a night on the town.

I attended one, and my biggest "negative" was just that they didn't have a lot of food options. They had muffins, and bagels and like one type of quiche. It wasn't nearly enough for their guests. It also did require getting up earlier to get ready
