We finally received our pictures and I wanted to post a BAM! I was very active on here for quite some time, but have been a little MIA lately! Still, I would like to say thank you to everyone from this community who helped me through this process! On my wedding day, I was honestly in the mood where nothing could bother me! The day as a whole was incredible and I brushed off anything that would have otherwise killed my good energy. Looking back there were a few things that were far from perfect (mostly just the hotel, shuttle, and one of my bridesmaid’s attitude towards me about thinking she had to be there for the limo 30 mins later than she was). Everything else was honestly better than I could have imagined! Our day was filled with many fun surprises including me surprising my husband with a pipe and drums band, my college friends surprising me with a parody of Hit Me Baby One More Time, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6vhfi75eqeu&feature=share and my husband surprising me with a boxful of “telegrams” of why he can’t wait to marry me! It was quite the whirlwind in the most wonderful way! My biggest worry before the wedding was everything coming together because I wasn’t sure HOW much the venue would take care of and I did not hire a DOC. This ended up being a non issue since I had an all inclusive venue and my Maitre D’ and Bridal Assistant took care of everything! They were beyond incredible! Some people say don’t sweat the small stuff, but I do think all the little details were what made our wedding original (especially since we had a budget wedding for our pricey region)! I would say put as much of a personal touch on your wedding, plan enough to feel prepared, but then at a certain point put your trust in the fact that things will come together (and don’t let the things that don’t keep you down). Enjoy your day and remember what it’s all about—celebrating the love you two share!
To my Long Island ladies: it is possible to have a budget wedding! We came in at around 23k including our minimoon!
