Bridesmaids

I have 13 bridesmaids but my alter isn’t very big so what alternatives do I have because I don’t think it’s enough room for everyone to stand up there.

Wow, 13 is a lot. You could always have the bridal party take a seat during the ceremony. Walk down the aisle and into the first row of seating. Or if you really want the girls to stand, could have them stand in 2 rows next to you.

I would have them walk down the aisle then sit in the front row. If you want someone standing with you, you could just have the MOH and best man stand with you.
As a side note, I would think long and hard about having that many in your wedding party. Remember, you are going to need to buy gifts for that many people AND try to wrangle them all for events like hair and makeup. It’s going to be A LOT

I would just let them sit in the front row. On the surface this seems like a lot of people, but plenty of other brides have been able to pull this off. You just have to remeber that getting that many people together for all pre-wedding events, may not happen

Cece has some good points as far as logistics, but I think we need to remember that not all wedding mornings are the same for each bride and groom. Day of as long as they are ready to go an at the location dressed make-up on in time it should be fine. If y'all are getting pro hair and make-up, you may need to think about going to a salon or multiple artists in a smallish space . Gifts for the wedding party are not mandatory. They can be as simple as handwritten cards or expensive items tailored to each person.

Wow, yeah 13 bridesmaids is a LOT. I would sit them all in the first couple of rows and have your MOH up there with you.

13 is way too many, in my opinion. Especially if you don't have the space to accommodate them. Your only option is having them sit down, which really means they are just guests like everyone else.

Having everyone walk down the aisle and then sit in the front rows would be a good option in this scenario. If you want some of them standing up by you, I would either have just the MOH and Best Man stand up at the altar (and everyone else sitting), or have everyone sit. If you pick half of them to stand up and the other half sits, the ones sitting may feel hurt about the decision.

I also agree with the comments about 13 bridesmaids being a lot. If you haven't already asked everyone to be a bridesmaid, I would take some time to maybe reconsider that number. It's a lot of schedules to coordinate and opinions to consider, a lot of time for hair and makeup (unless you hire multiple hair and makeup artists to get through everyone), a lot of people for the rehearsal dinner (leading to higher costs), a lot of people to gather for photos, and more wedding party gifts to purchase. If you've already asked them or are set on that number, there are ways to help make it run as smoothly as possible with 13 bridesmaids.
