Amy that can be a few weeks but it's up to you but ask your maid of honor about both if they will be hosting these 2 things for you the bachelorette party too. My ladies are doing both at the same time because of everyone schedule but we are making a weekend of it. So they have a itinerary for what we will do. Enjoy both of your parties Amy

Who would be hosting it for you? It doesn't have to be a wedding party member. Maybe someone will offer to do that for you. It's not an obligation for your wedding party to host it, although it's nice for sure.

You still have a lot of time until your wedding. Hopefully something will happen. Either way you'll still be married! : )

I technically have two I think. One is like a welcome to the family bridal shower with all of my fiancé's aunts, cousins and siblings (MIL is one of 13 so I'm joining a MASSIVE family) and that one is I think September, and then my mom is going to host a couples shower in November. We get married in January.

Ok a January wedding nice. 2 would b nice. But most of the time it's winter season then. That's y I chose March end of it bc it's the beginning of most spring breaks. And the beginning of spring break for my kids. They live in indiana. That way there is no excuse of excuses of not coming

I'm having 2, one in the state I live with my FH's family and friends here (early June so three and a half months before) and one in my home state with my family and friends there (late June, so just under 3 months)

Usually it’s held just after the wedding invitations go out at 6-8 weeks. Guests don’t travel for a shower which is why local groups will individual showers. Those who wish to host one will offer but it’s considered impolite and gift grabby to host your own. Coworkers, fellow church members and other social groups will host their own for you. The extent of your contribution is an available date.

Not sure if this helps but… my maid of honor and bridesmaids live out of state. I personally don’t like opening gifts in front of other people so I chose to skip the bridal shower.
