Bridal Shower Planning

I need some advice on how to handle this unique - ish situation...

I won a voucher for a bridal shower venue/catering at a local wedding fair. I had to book my own bridal shower in order to use the voucher I won. Since I had to book a date and time at the venue, should I just plan my own bridal shower or should I just let my bridal party know why the venue has to be there?

I'm feeling weird about it because it almost feels like I would be asking someone to throw me a bridal shower, which I would find tacky.

I think if you just bring up the fact that you won and you had to book it right then, your friends and family will be equally as excited for you, and someone would probably offer to take over the plans for you. Technically, you aren’t supposed to throw it/plan it yourself. But like you said your situation is unique! And how awesome that you won! 😁

It was a really great wedding fair. I won a free cleaning and boxing of my gown too.
I definitely could not waste it and it sure helped our budget because my MIL agreed to just video in instead of having me fly to Wisconsin for an entirely separate bridal shower.

My hope is someone will take over, but who knows lol.

I think you could book it and keep the date and if your ladies plan on throwing you one they have a venue. You can tell them the date then they can take it from there.
