Bridal Shower Ideas

Dierdra, on August 24, 2020 at 2:33 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 9

Hello ladies!

Our state has a strict under 25 people policy. Since we are four weeks out from when my shower should be, I was wondering if anyone has any advice/ideas on how to wrangle our new challenge for a shower? I'm not so sold on a drive up - as everyone is doing that for birthday parties in my area and it's hard to just accept a gift without visiting with family for me.

My friend is planning a virtual shower. We plan to meet on Zoom and chat and play games. There will be cocktail/mocktail recipes sent out to all invited with a gift bag with favors and a card thanking everyone for attending. It’s definitely not the same but it was important to her to do something to celebrate.

Perhaps you could have an outdoor one with a few of your closest guests, and video every one else in?

Your BMs could send them the games via email, or they can join in digitally!

I am having one and only invited 14 people and my MOH is hosting. In her invite she requested masks and asked people to take safety precautions. We will have a Borlaug brunch where we hang, eat and drink.

My bridal shower was supposed to a couple months ago, but we decided to postpone our wedding, so since my bridal shower was also postponed, I don't know if this would have worked out as well as it sounded like it would. I did not like the idea of a drive thru shower, so instead, they were planning a staggered shower, where guests could sign up for different time slots to stop by. The max number of guests attending at any time would be 6-10. That way, I would have gotten to socialize with everyone, and we'd be able to limit the number of people there at any one time.

I agree with pp - just invite less than 25 people? If you have more people than 25 you can always do multiple days or so

I agree with the two PPs above me. Can you just invite 25 people?

You can do outdoor probably. We were supposed to have 35 people but had about 25 show up and it was inside at a restaurant and everyone had masks on.

We both come from big immediate families. Our minimum for aunt, uncles and grandparents parents is 40.
