Bridal Party To The Rescue!

Paige, on February 28, 2023 at 1:31 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 6

Tell us about a time (or times!) when your bridal party truly had your back!

For me, our coordinator never showed up to our rehearsal. We had planned to hand off our marriage license and vendor tips to her there, so we left them in the car while we rehearsed and during our rehearsal dinner. We didn't think about it in the rush of things that had to happen that night and the morning of, so the marriage license ended up being forgotten. We didn't realize it until about half an hour to an hour before our ceremony started. My MOH sent her husband back to our place to get it, and he actually managed to make it there and back before we started. Needless to say, we are eternally grateful for them!

Not my wedding, but one I was in.

The photography team was not great, and never told us how to stand, look. Or count down for a photo. Thank goodness for one of the bridesmaids and the MOH. They made sure we held put bouquets down very low, and had the brides dress and veil positioned better. They also told us how to pose better.
It's a shame that the photos we are all spaced out and no one is looking in the same direction at the same time. But at least there's a few not so terrible photos! I can't imagine what they'd look like, all our faces would be hidden in the photos, I was holding my bouquet high. 😂

So we bought the ties for the one groomsman and best man two months before our wedding and my husband gave the ties to them at his bachelor weekend. Well the groomsman flew in the day before into the state next to when our wedding was and was renting a car and driving the two hours over. When he landed he realized they had gone through his bag and his tie was gone. So him and our best man and us drive around in 3 different states all over the place the day before trying to find the same tie or any tie in a similar color to the one the best man had. His tie was a deep burnt orange color so it wasn’t easy to find another in that color. After many hours the best man made one more last ditch effort to hit another store and found the exact tie in a macys like and hour and a half away from his house and got it. In retrospect we should’ve just brought them ourselves but we thought it was one less thing we’d have to worry about 😅

A guest at cocktail hour spilled red wine on my SIL's wedding dress. Her WP was equipped with Tide pens, wipes in their emergency kits and consoled her in the venue's bathroom. The night continues on.

Great save by the bridesmaids and MOH! My coordinator didn't clue me in that my bouquet was supposed to be slightly cascading, so I ended up holding it the wrong way down the aisle 😂 fortunately I had my memory charms on the other side, so they were facing front in all the pictures. Happy accident I guess lol

Oh no! Were they able to get any of the stain out?
