Bridal Dress

Lauren, on November 14, 2019 at 8:52 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 3

So getting my dress has been a process! I bought a dress at David's Bridal, originally a Melissa Sweet dress but I ended up exchanging it to a different dress that i'm in LOVE with. I'm a size 14 ( like a glove fit) but with the stress of planning and my new found love for bread I'm terrified to not fit into this dress!

I have about 9 months until the wedding and I do need alterations, I plan on maintaining and hopefully losing 5-8 lbs as it will fit better. When did everyone start there alterations? I got a Oleg Cassini Dress and I doubt it could be let out?! I also didn't want to go up a size as it would be TOO big and even more expensive to alter.

How long do alterations take? Has anyone else been freaking about not fitting into there dress? Any crazy month before diets brides have done to lose a few right before the big day? How is it I've never had any issues maintaining my weight, but once your "suppose to" its so difficult!?

Sorry guys, I'm pretty sure my brain and body are starting to shut down from wedding related stress lol

Have you even heard of Whole30? I'd definitely look into it! It's not a diet technically but it helps with controlling what you eat and eliminating all the snacking. It's a tough one but it's only 30 days. I did it a few years back after I gained my freshman 15 in college and I lost it all (and kept it off). It 100% changed my outlook on food and helped me with saying "no thank you" when I'm not hungry.

I second Whole 30. I did a round last year and found it very easy to stick to for 30 days and have never felt better. I slept better, my skin was better, and I definitely lost some "puff" in my face, arms, and waist.
