8 days out and I had my first one.
Took my dress last week for some small alteration tweaks to a seamstress i found online with good reviews. She said to come back in a week after she had fixed the back so she could do the bustle. I didn't get a call a week later so I called the store i THOUGHT i took it to. They can't find my dress, have never heard of me or my FH who dropped his pants off at the same place. They said they would check the store and call me back. 5 minutes later they call me back and sound out of breath "please come down, we cannot find it".
So I start to freak out - How is this possible that they lose BOTH our orders. So I rush down to the place i took it to and it's closed...it also has a totally different phone number on the door as the one i called O_O...I look up at the sign (which I guess I didn't read when i took it in the first place) and it is a completely different store than the one i looked up online and called. I call the number on the door and the owner picks up "Yes your dress is ready, I stepped out for lunch, I will be back in an hour".
Turns out they were like 6 doors down from each other, and when I was driving down for the first time i just saw "alterations" and assumed it was the store i found online. I had to call the other place and apologize for scaring them. Felt like SUCH dork. I am SO glad I didn't berate them over the phone, I would have felt even worse.
Anyone else completely losing their brain so close to their wedding? Let's all laugh at each other.
