Bra support!

Kelly, on November 15, 2021 at 5:27 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 3 25

Hi ladies!! So I would love suggestions or ideas of how to support the girls in my dress! A normal bra isn't an option not even strapless because of the back of my dress the band would show. I'm a 44DD and after trying on my dress I really need the girls to be up! lol Has anybody tried the tape and liked it? Thanks!!

32DD-F cup here. I've tried the tape using a Kim K video and it does work, but was a little bit time consuming, and there is always the worry that with nerves you'll get hot and the tape will begin to come unstuck.

Can you show us the front of your dress? That way it will be easier to suggest what shape of tape you might need to get the type of support you want.

Hmm. Ok. That is pretty covered at the front, so could your seamstress put cups in the dress? Then it matters less if the tape comes loose. I found using layers of the tape helps to prevent it come off, but isn't a perfect solution.

There are cups in the dress already it just sits up higher and my girls don't lmao so it's just trying to get them up where they need to be but I think I'm going to buy some of the tape and experiment with it a little and see how that works! Thanks!!

Yes for sure check out some videos. There are lots of ways to place the tape and maybe try it out for a date or something and see how comfortable you feel!

32DD here - I wore a bustier for my wedding. It had a low back and then offered a great deal of support in the front.

I got mine from the bridal salon (which made it easy to try on with my dress). They sell them at department stores as well though. (I've also seen something similar called a long-line bra, which might also work.)

You will find this funny, but I'm a 32F as well. We have so much in common. 💗

I have a backless bustier. I'm not wearing it with my gown. I'm a 32F. If I can find the name, I'll be sure and post. I bought it off Ebay from the company owner. They have black and nude. Very supportive. I just have no idea at the moment where it is. 😂😂

I have read many good reviews for tape from boobhold.com and goodlines.com on other wedding sites.

Haha, that is so weird! It's not a particularly common size, I didn't think!

I'm a 34H and I had a built-in corset inside my dress that provided enough structure that I actually went braless. See if they can put a corset inside the dress to provide the support?

38DD here. I hated trying to figure out rolls of the tape for a bridesmaid dress, but I tried Brassybra for a wedding FH was in and that was great! The only downside to a lot of those adhesives is that they can really irritate your skin and most say to take off after 8 hours, max. As someone else said, it might be a better idea to look into getting a corset added to your dress or finding a backless bustier.

That sounds like the route I will have to go! Just finding one with the right support is the struggle!
