Boutonnières & Corsages?

Muffinrabbit, on April 9, 2024 at 10:59 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
We are having a small wedding with no brides maids and no groomsmen. The guy we hired is giving us Boutonnières & Corsages (2 of each). I have 1 sister and my partner has 2 brothers. We have a family member being the officiant. Should the officiant get one? Do they show up in photos of us during the ceremony? Should we just give it to our parents? Or ask for more or less?

If you want to keep it simple, and keep costs low, just apply inclusive bouts and corsages to both sets of parents and order one (1) more bout for your partner (if groom). If you like, you can add 1 more bout for the officiant, but they generally are not included with immediate family pictures. It is nice to take a couples pic with your officiant though.

If the officiant is a friend rather than hired and not wearing any kind of liturgical attire (robes, priest collar, etc), then a boutonnière is appropriate but not required. It’s personal preference only.

    Yes. It's a family member.
