bouquets 💐

I really love flowers and wanted mine to invoke thoughts of a garden 😊 I asked for it to have a more natural shape instead of the traditional “rounded” bouquet. I love blue, but since there aren’t many naturally occurring blue flowers, I told our florist they could throw in peach tones (I’m not a fan of pink haha so orange was my compromise). I was very pleased with how it turned out and our photographers made sure to take great photos of it! 😄

I had no clue what I wanted for my bouquet, so I asked my florist for his opinion on what would look good and be within our budget! Here is what he came up with for my bouquet:


The bridesmaids bouquets were similar, except they were a little smaller and they had a few blue flowers mixed in:

I used wildflowers! Yarrow, feverfew, thistle, cornflower, queen Anne's lace, and various grasses and greenery. I told my florist I wanted it to look like I walked into a meadow and picked a bouquet from it for a very cottagecore/Anne of Green Gables feel.

This is my inspiration photo that I gave my Florist for my bouquet. The picture below is for my bridesmaids, and then a wrist corsage with this same idea for the groomswoman.

My bouquet was made out of fake wood flowers with some of them being burgundy and deep orange colored because those were our colors. I was able to pick what style flowers I wanted. Then my bridesmaid & MOH also had bouquets made from wood flowers and burlap! Got everything from Etsy

Right now I'm planning to do an artificial bouquet. I ordered the greenery bouquet on the left and plan to add my own flowers so it looks more like the right. Only I plan to use flowers/colors from the bottom picture instead with some small blue accent flowers.

I wanted something totally unique so looking on Etsy, I found a vendor from Kazakhstan who created clay bouquets. I went for it! Although I like the bouquet, I don't love it. I requested something bright and cheerful since my dress is dark green. What she created was very muted. I finally requested a pop of color in the middle and this is what she made. Inspent over $300 on the bouquet and also cake flowers and a boutonnier. I'm not completely happy but I don't want to waste my money. When it arrives, I may try ad sell it on Ebay or Letgo...

I think the bouquet you ordered looks super pretty, but I agree it doesn't really feel bright and cheery like you wanted. Never heard of a clay bouquet before but it sounds like a super cool idea! You could also look into wedding groups in your area on facebook to see if someone would be interested if you don't absolutely love it.

Lol we’re basing our colors on a bouquet I fell in love with on Etsy right after getting engaged. It’s seriously the second decision we made in wedding planning. They’re supposed to be here by the beginning of April, so I haven’t seen them in person yet!

My florals were tropical greenery (ferns, palm, and monstera) with white orchids and roses.

Bridesmaids had tropical greenery with colorful flowers. The maid of honor bouquets (which got swapped between all the ladies at one point or another in photos) had an additional tropical floral which I dont know what it was- looked almost like a sea creature though!

I made all of my bouquets. The BP bouquets and all the boutonnieres were fake floral that I painted and wrapped with ribbon, then my bouquet was made entirely from flowers that I made out of ribbon. I let my MOH keep it, though, and we don't speak anymore, so I'm kind of bummed about that. I should have kept it! Don't know what I would have done with it, though.
