Botox plus other self enhancements

Jill, on May 14, 2019 at 10:06 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 28
Has anyone gotten a boob job or Botox before their wedding? I’m considering larger breast, Botox and veneers. Not sure if I should do it. If I do how close to the wedding for everything.

Well I didn’t tell him yet. I mentioned it before and he said do whatever I want. But that was before we were engaged.

I decided to do Invisalign before the wedding, but that’s something I would have done regardless, the wedding date just gave me more motivation to start. Botox and veneers I guess I can understand as these aren’t major surgeries, but breast implants for a wedding seems a little ridiculous.

Remember most wedding gowns are cut for a B cup. If you are larger, it's extra. My girlfriend had a B cup, had her surgery and was a DD. She paid $500.00 extra on her gown for those babies.

My wedding isn’t for a while. I always dreamed about breast implants. Why do you think that’s ridiculous?

She wanted to be a full C, but nothing she could do after the surgery. Now she's pregnant and trying to see if she can still breastfeed. She was pleased, but wished she were a bit less endowed. Lol

Your results may vary, but as someone who is naturally "gifted," it is more a pain than anything else. Most shirts fit terribly. Bras are more expensive. Bathing suit shopping is a nightmare. Your back hurts. I can go on and on. Granted, I am a US size 34G so it's a bit worse than a D or DD.

However, if this is something that you want and have wanted for awhile, you are free to do what you want. I wouldn't necessarily get major surgery just for a wedding, but if you wanted it done regardless and the wedding just seems like a good time to do it, then by all means. I would definitely speak to a reputable plastic surgeon about recovery times and the like, as I assume you don't want drainage tubes visible in your dress.

I would say cursed. I dream of my preteen years when I could buy a cheap bra from Target.

I say this in all seriousness. There are a lot of practicality concerns involved with larger breasts. Also, sports bras become some of the most painful things. I would really look into these types of day to day issues before making any major decisions.

FYI, your dress might not fit right if you get your dress first then boobs.

As a 40+ bride, I did light Botox & Juvederm (eye fillers) 6+ months before my wedding. Hated the feeling. Headaches & face puffiness. Did both help? Yup. Would I do it again? Not sure just because messing with your body is pretty serious.

Hmmm... for veniers don’t they grind your teeth down? That doesn’t sound safe.

I'm on the larger side of DD, and even mine are a pain. Chiffon, polyester, non stretchy tops are COMPLETELY out of the question. Loose fitting shirts leave you looking pregnant. As others mentioned, the upper back/shoulder pain is real. Running/jumping makes you feel like you'll give yourself a black eye. They might look nice in some things, but a full C is the place to be.

I’m self conscious because his second wife had enormous breasts. I wanted them before I saw her. That just made it worse for me mentally.

Veneers and breast implants are something you will have to get replaced every 10-15 years. So think about the financial aspect of the upkeep as well. I am a 32G naturally and shopping for bras, shirts, and swimsuits is a huge pain.

I am totally getting Botox before the wedding 😬🙃 I’ve wanted it for a while, but now it seems like I have a way to “justify” it 😅

I agree with all the other well-endowed ladies! I’m a 34DD. Bras are more expensive, bathing suits are a nightmare to find, you will always need a shirt 1 size bigger than the rest of your torso, the gym becomes a problem (hello 2 sports bras! or spending $60+/bra), the shoulder/back is real...The list goes on and on.

My best friend decided to get implants after her divorce and she liked them for about a year or so. Then she realized everything I cautioned her about was true haha She had them removed before she went dress shopping for her 2nd wedding and was much happier.

I’d also say this: Do whatever makes you happy, but if you’re going to have any sort of cosmetic procedure, do your research on your surgeon/surgery center! I work in the medical legal field and I’ve seen some pretty awful outcomes. IF something goes wrong, the likelihood of being able to fully correct the issue or return your body to normal are minimal. Also, very few attorneys could help you because it was an elective cosmetic procedure, not medically necessary.

Big boobs mean back pain never finding a bra that fits properly pretty much no strapless bra or even less then regular also breast pain. I would not go bigger then a c it is not worth all of that for one day.
