Booze - Splurge or Save?

I will be splurging on booze. It's the one thing I will splurge on.

Save! We're stocking our own bar and only serving beer and wine. Once it's gone, it's gone! Don't want anyone having the chance to drink too much (which is a concern on both sides)

In between. Open bar and cake are part of the catering package.

Save. We ended up just doing beer and wine (and cider for gluten free people). Apparently some people snuck in some of their own liquor but no one complained to us about the limited drink selection so I think it was worth the savings.

Both. We will have an open bar, but we are providing the alcohol ourselves and are doing a modified open bar with beer, wine, and two signature drinks instead of a full bar.

Save. We are going to have 2 types of beer and 2 types of wine. The rest will be cash bar.

Splurge. We had a full open bar. It was a non-negotiable for us. Looking back, it was worth every penny spent. We've been married over a year and people still tell us that ours was one of the best weddings they've ever been to.

For us it was a save because we couldn’t do a full open bar. It was important to us to have free alcohol for our guests so we supplied our own alcohol and had signature drinks/shots, beer, and wine

Unfortunately it will likely be a splurge. I’d rather not have any alcohol at all, but my FH and his family are BIG drinkers...

Definitely saving. We decided not to have alcohol for multiple reasons, but the cost of it was definitely the deciding factor.

Both. Saving by providing our own alcohol but splurging on nice liquor and having several kinds of beer, wine, and cocktails. We are going for a speakeasy vibe so we can’t wimp out on the alcohol!!

Save! We are still having booze, but only beer and wine. We are only ordering so much and once it's gone, then that's it. I also cut the beer and wine down heavily to only be 2 kinds of beer and our favorite kind of wine. If none of those work for you, you can have a non-alcoholic beverage such as tea, coffee, or water lol

Save. We would have still had alcohol, but mostly beer and wine. We will have a cheap wine for our elopement, but it's literally my favorite 😍😂

Technically save because we are bringing our own since the venue allows it. However it was FH's parents that decided what we will have. They picked a whiskey, cognac, tequila, vodka, red and white wine that will be put on each table as well as a champagne toast.

Save! Venue doesn’t even allow it!

Splurge!! Probably the only thing I’ll really splurge on. Lol

We weren't going to do booze anyway but when we had to change venues, it became easier because now we just say it’s not allowed.

Save-ish? We want to do a beer and wine bar but add a signature drink to help with the costs.

Save on this one. We are giving the first $500 open bar but after that everyone is on there own. However my dad keeps asking if they will tell us when it is getting close so my dad may be sneaky and foot the rest of the bill. I hope not though, my friends can be boozers.

Splurging. Because thats the one thing me and my FH agree on we want it to be a big fun party at the reception
