Booking Vendors

Hi everyone -

I have been doing a lot of research & meeting with vendors. I found the perfect photographer and florist and also found the dress I want. I am just trying to break up the deposits a little bit (we already put the deposit on the venue & DJ). Which order do you guys suggest booking them in?

    I don’t think it matters a ton, but the dress could take a while to come in and then you need time for alterations. I would definitely get the dress first. Then I would do photographer because they book up fast. Then I would do florist. Because if something happens I think the photos are more important. You could always buy bouquets at the last minute or just not have flowers worst case scenario.

    How long will your dress take to come in? That will determine when you should order it by. Photographer should be next priority after venue.

    We did photographer then florist then dress. It would depend on how long the dress takes to be ordered too, and how far the vendors book out so I'd ask that!

    I would do it from highest priority to lowest. Venue, photographer, videographer, caterer, dress, DJ, florist, baker, etc.
