Best Printed Invitations?

Pirate & 60s Bride, on February 2, 2021 at 11:51 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 34
My brother-in-law is getting married and his fiancée asked me about invites. We loved ours from Zazzle. But if she wants better quality but not a lot more money, any suggestions? Minted? I won’t recommend Shutterfly or VistaPrint because I’d put them on the same level as Zazzle (again, I loved Zazzle and they have upgraded cardstock and ink options, just looking for a “level up” option). Thank you!

I used Zazzle for the save the dates and minted for the invitation itself. I thought they were great!

Hi Julie! So happy to see you here. 🥰 Did you think Minted was a much better quality than Zazzle? A lot more expensive?

Canva.com and either have them print or take the file to a local print shop.

    Etsy
Minted and Zazzle are on the more expensive side. Zazzle prices them per piece and does not sell sets. Costco.com and Annsbridalbargains.com have low priced high quality invites

Thanks Michelle! I think I’ve heard of Ann’s Bridal Bargains here before. I think she’s ok paying more if the quality is way better. With Zazzle sales every few weeks, I thought their prices were really good. Thanks for these.

LOVE Minted!!! All of our friends and family use them, and we used them for our STD's (and future invites). The quality is top notch, and I love how they offer free recipient addressing on their envelopes! They also have so many pretty designs to choose from that are customizable, so you can really make it your own.

I toyed around with VistaPrint and Shutterfly, but I just didn't think the quality was on par with Minted.

I used Minted for our save the dates and loved them! Definitely high quality in my opinion. I ordered samples of their all-in-one invitations and plan on ordering those too! They frequently have sales for save the dates at least, too.

I don't know about a *lot* more expensive, but they were higher quality. Less of a xerox look to them. They have upgrades to cardstock and printing type (normal, foiled, embossed) and most designs have choice of color scheme. You can also pay more for a matching website (I used theirs for rsvp and meal choices) or design change. I thought they were really great.

I used Zazzle and upgraded to their linen paper. I love it - they came out beautifully!

Thanks Tiger Bride! I loved Zazzle too. For our destination wedding, I paid for upgraded ink and cardstock, loved those. For our local reception, I used their standard paper and chose glossy but honestly those felt a bit cheap/flimsy. I also told my future SIL about Zazzle so based on the replies so far, I’ll tell her to also order a sample from Minted.

I actually just got a sample from The Knot. They are really great quality and the price isn't too bad.

When we were deciding where to get our save the dates from, we ordered samples from all 4: Minted, Shutterfly, Vistaprint, and Zazzle. None of the other 3 even came close to the quality that Minted provided! I would recommend Minted in a heartbeat.

Duh. I'll help you any way I can. I can post a picture of my invites so you can show her. Zazzle STDs are on the right, invite on the left, and the envelopes are from minted as well

What does she mean by better quality? Is she talking about paper heft, finish, rag content? Is she talking about the ink or graphics? Engraving or embossing? Thermographic ink? Flat in?
I think getting her to define what she is looking at for quality will make it easier.

Oh that’s good to know. Did you get any other samples to see how they compare to others?
