Best planner

Ashley, on June 26, 2019 at 9:41 AM Posted in Planning 0 12

My sister is going to be engaged and getting married next year now too. Besides me telling her about this site/app and Pinterest I want to get her something to write in. I have a binder with dividers for each aspect of the wedding with paper to write in that I made myself, but thought I would ask if there was a planner out there I am missing that is great or if I should just make her a binder too

I didn't really shop for a standard planner because we cut out a lot of normal wedding stuff like having a bridal party so I would rather have the binder you made.

I was gifted the Erin Condren planner which is somewhat pricey, but it has been useful!

A lot of this is why I don't use the planner that I got either and ended up making my binder

I just used a cute notebook to keep track of things. I subdivided it with sticky notes and each item got a section.

I was given a planner but didn't really use it. I think binders work well too. I definitely recommend something to put all your wedding documents in like contracts and stuff. It also helps if you just scan it and have the digital copy in a folder or cloud somewhere in case you lose a hardcopy

I made my own binder with dividers specifically for each task that way I only had what I needed and it has been extremely useful for me. I didn't see the point in buying a planner specifically for weddings because once the wedding is over it will no longer be useful.

I found a really good one at Michael's. But the binder that it came in was kind of cheap, and too small to add stuff. So I took everything out of it, and got myself a big 5" binder at Office Depot. Now I can use what it came with, as well as adding my own stuff. Best of both worlds.

I bought those "wedding planning" books but never used them. I found Google Docs & Sheets to be most efficient. I'd say a DIY binder with dividers like you said would be best and you could personalize it for her.

I got myself an Erin Condren wedding planner. It's helpful for checklists and things like that, and it was personalized with our names, date, colors, etc. I brought it to a lot of our tours and appointments.

That said, the bulk of our planning is getting done in Google Docs and Sheet like FutureMrsD's. It's easily shared between the two of us and it's a lot easier to sneak in at work that way. Shhhhh...
