Rachel, on April 23, 2021 at 12:30 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 18

I had my trial and I can see my scarring worse than when I do my own makeupSmiley sad( What can I have the artist use? She did foundation and airbrush? Do you think airbrush makes scars more visible?

I think using a good primer is the key to filling in pores, wrinkles, and scars so they do not appear more visible. I suspect she didn't have a good primer (or your face wasn't properly moisturized) before applying the rest of the makeup.

Would you ever be opposed to going to a dermatologist and getting a few treatments for your scars before the wedding? Also your makeup artist would want to use a color corrector first before applying make up. Also, as PP mentioned a good primer/moisturizer is also key.

Good point. Not sure if she used primer. I will need to ask that she makes sure to use it. I wish I could get another trial :/

You could also try using glycolic acid wipes or aha bha peel. They help with cell turn over. Vitamin c serum also helps to fade scars. And retinol is a great product for health skin.

Micro-dermabrasion treatments aren’t very expensive and I’m no doctor but I believe that’s one of the main methods used for acne scars. I’d research local dermatologists in your area. Also if you Google images of before and after micro dermabrasion for acne scars you can see that there is a significant improvement to the skin. Hope this helps!

Esthetician here 🧖‍♀️ Microderm is Great but if you have active acne now.. dont do that. It spreds it. Lactic peels help with pigmentation . Glycolic helps cell turn over (new skin) and resurface. If anything gets a few treatment facials before the big day. . Id say i would do traditional makeup. Most airbrush brands be can be a bit more oily.. causing more breakouts. Airbrush is more natural and blurring. If you need fuller coverage i would do traditional.
It really depends on skin type, also if she color corrects you and primes you super well. More of a silcone primer will help fill in any gaps/pac marks. I do like smashbox primer im super dry and it makes my skin smooth like buttaaa.
Huda beauty is good. Milani conceal and perfect 2 &1 is nice.Dermablend in general is super thick and full coverage. I would mix that with a liquid to make sure it seemless hopefully your makeup girl. Figures that out ha.

Oh yes there are lots of things that work. It looks like you have plenty of time before your wedding so if you can budget for it I'd definitely recommend finding a good esthetician and getting some professional treatments. Micro needling is my favorite, it helps with pigmentation, acne and acne scars. Just find someone who takes a conservative approach and starts off with gentle treatments and then works up to deeper, stronger treatments as your skin gets used to it.

You look beautiful? Can you tell me everything used? what primer? Also Mac Studio finish ? I used that with my first trial and it was way better coverage. this one did foundation and then airbrush spray and it was bad. I would go with first place but i hated my hair Smiley sad I normally use mac studio or double wear.

I can maybe ask for a 2nd trial using mac?

Hand and stone or massage envy has peels they are lower grade but definitely helps! They are usually around 60 to 100 bucks. Each facial

    Thank you.
I don't think she used a primer. She added extra moisture and then used MAC Studio Fix Fluid NW20.She used a buffing brush to give extra coverage without it being cakey. I know she used a finishing spray, but I'm not sure which one.

I had the same issue when I did my makeup trial. You could see every line and scar. It looked like the makeup set in and highlighted the imperfections. However I don't think my artist used primer or concealer or anything to balance out the pigmentation. I think she used straight foundation and then contoured. While I loved the artist herself, I decided to do another trial with someone else and this time I will be very specific instead of just showing pictures. I would tell the artist exactly what you are looking for or didn't like from the first trial.

In just 3 weeks! Especially considering how damaged my skin was, Dark Spot Corrector Remover is absolutely AMAZING and WORKS FAST! My face had a bad breakout, especially on my forehead. I got this product to remove the dark spots and in just ONE week I already began to see results. By the second week it was even better! I've included a picture at the third week, and you can see just how much better my skin has become already! I used the product twice a day, everyday, for 3 weeks and the results are just INCREDIBLE. I could not be more thankful this product literally SAVED MY SKIN, it's a MIRACLE WORKER! I've tried so many things and nothing worked so amazing and in such a short time.

Dermalmd Scar Serum truly does minimize scars. Not just new scars, but old scars as well. I took a fall and had stitches in my face. I was considering cosmetic surgery to hide the scar. I tried Dermalmd and the scar is almost invisible. I tried it on some older scars as well and had significant results. Worth every penny.
