Best (cheap) Colorado Venues

Olivia, on December 14, 2020 at 4:55 PM Posted in Colorado Planning 0 13

Hello,

I am feeling super overwhelmed with all the opinions from friends telling me to skip having a wedding altogether and save money. I'm trying to keep everything under 12k (in total) for 60 people in December. I would love a mountain venue but I am not too picky. Anyone have a list of the best venues in Colorado that are cheap.

I recommend using an art gallery or a city shelter

You could try a community center, fire hall or a hotel

I had a friend do hers at Sapphire Point in Dillion Colorado. She then had a small reception with a DJ on the top floor of a local eatery. She had about 40 people and she was able to keep it super cheap, but still had the awesome mountain wedding pics!

I’m doing mine at YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, it’s more affordable than I thought (4K for the venue and chapel for 150 ppl on a Saturday in summer), the rates decrease in winter and the catering menu is very reasonable. Most expensive meal was $45/person. They have hotel rooms (lodge rooms) on site for those who want to stay the night. It’s also BYOB and they don’t require a bartender.

The Cliff House at Pikes Peak in Manitou Springs has some really affordable options! They also do a massive discount for weekday weddings, if you're open to it.

Our wedding is at the Christie's of Genesee, it's in Golden technically but up in the mountains towards Evergreen. Our cost was around $3,500 and it includes ceremony, reception, sound system, catering, bar, and cleanup. Highly recommend checking them out, their staff is super sweet and great to work with and they have great deals going with other businesses who have worked with them (we got $500 off from our photographer). They have outdoor and indoor settings and are right near a buffalo preserve with gorgeous views of the mountains, but also have a view of the Denver skyline behind their outdoor wedding arch. Hope this helps!

Try The Abbey in Canon City, CO. It is basically all inclusive with a caterer on site and a bar tender and liquor license. You do have to pay for food and alcohol. So far with just adding the DJ and photographer and the Sisters house (which sleeps 28) and food and alcohol I'm looking at less than 10k. The venue and reception price is between 1500 and 1700 depending on where you want to get married (outside or inside). Good luck!

Check out the Stonehaven event center, Colorado Springs. Have a few packages to choose from either Ala cart for the diy, or all inclusive packages. We are doing the better package which includes catering, cake, photographer, dj, linens, and arch for 100 people under 10k. Has beautiful mountian views. This is the ceremony site. Then off to the side is the building for the reception wish i would have taken better pics of the building but i love it.Best (cheap) Colorado Venues 1
