Me! 🙋🏾‍♀️ I’ve literally planned every single last thing. And can honestly say I have not been as stressed. I actually enjoy planning.

I am! I have planned every minute detail, and I’ve absolutely loved the experience!

Imani is a unicorn! I myself am not. I have intense job plus teach at the university level and have a business I had no bandwidth to plan. Therefore I had to default and get a wedding planner which saved me because I did not have the time. I think if you can have a day of planner that would be very essential because they help you nail down some of the critical details that you miss and don’t even think about. I also appreciated that she guarded my needs like a bulldog and kept everything throughout the day on schedule including the arrival of vendors and payments. I admire anybody who can pull that off and I’m sure it is possible if you have a good team of people around you or are extremely detail oriented.

I'm using my sister in laws as day of coordinator since one is working on entering the field but otherwise I'm doing the planning!

I did. Thanks to apps and articles online, I found everything I needed to know.

My fiance and I planned our whole wedding ourselves! We both enjoy planning things, so we never considered hiring a wedding planner. We did end up booking a day of coordinator to help out just on the day of the wedding, but all of the planning has been done by us. We used the checklist on The Knot to help keep us on track.

I am planning my own - but also have a very high stress job and not much time. It is a smaller wedding so I have been ok - but I think a larger affair would have stressed me out much more! There are plenty of tips and guides to help for what you do plan!

I find planning on my own though - I do question things more - like does this color look good? Is this a good spot for the seating chart? I think these little details the coordinators would have been able to assist me!

I am to! Like Imani, I really enjoy the planning and don't feel stressed about it. I think it's fun.

I am! We're getting married on 11/11/22 and everything is pretty much done. I do have a day of coordinator so that we can all relax and enjoy the day. The planning process has been exciting but also stressful at times because I want things to be just right, lol. I know it'll all be worth it in the end. Happy planning! 😊

I did! My mom and my husband both helped with specific tasks but I did pretty much all the planning and most of the communication. It was stressful but I enjoyed it a lot!
