Beach Wedding in obx in Sept a good idea?

Hi all!


We are currently planning to a destination wedding on the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina (specifically Nags Head) September 2025.
I have only been to Nags Head the last week of August/first week of September when it is still HOT, high 80’s in the afternoon, so I thought the last week of September would be more comfortable. Farmers almanac says 64-77 degrees.
As I’m reaching out to vendors a few have mentioned the ‘cold and wind’ that time of year.
Has anyone gotten married there that time of year or been to a wedding there that time of year or even vacationed there and have an opinion? I know it’s hurricane season and that’s a gamble but honestly I’m good with that just tell me it won’t be too chilly haha.
