One thing you might run into is a delay in refunding the money for a returned dress. That may slow down the variety of dresses you could try-on from home.

Avoid anything with a train ........ sand, shells, you name it will get swept up. If the sand is the least bit damp it will drag along and NOT look pretty. Don't believe any of those staged pictures of brides on the beach in a long train gown LOLOL No veil ---- check out funny videos of brides with veils ona beach. Even on the most still of days it's windy on the beach. What Will work is flowy - chiffon, layers, strapless or thin spaghetti straps.. ea length is great, just to the ankles okay as well - just nothing dragging. The minute I put on my dress I KNEW it was the perfect one for our beach wedding.
