Basic hotel in Hawaii or resort in Disney

I don't think you'll regret waiting until it's more financially feasible! You can have a wonderful honeymoon without going to Hawaii, and it will be there down the road when you have more funds to make it a dream vacation Best of luck! For reference, we are doing a 5-day honeymoon at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico for about $3,000 total (flights, hotel, transit etc.) and I couldn't be more excited!

For what it's worth, I don't know that you'll actually save any money by going to Disney over Hawaii - we did Disney for our Honeymoon and it's not inexpensive

I think only you and FH can make this decision. But I will tell you a short story that might help. I always wanted to visit Las Vegas, but never had. A few years ago, I decided it would be a really fun trip I could take for my 50th birthday. Well, I planned and I saved, but of course life got in the way and I had to spend some of the money I had saved for my trip. But I wanted to go so badly, I was not going to postpone or cancel.

Well, I took the trip, and had a really fun time. However, my budget was sooooooo tight, due to the earlier hiccups, that I didn't get to do all the things I had planned, and that was kind of a bummer.

I think if I had to do it over again, I would have postponed the trip so I could have a more healthy budget, and get to take the trip I wanted.

In the long run, I did have a great time. But it would have been less stressful, and even more fun, if I had done it when my budget wasn't so strained.

So, in my opinion, you guys would do better at Disney this time around, and save up for the Hawaii vacation of your dreams!!
