If you've seen any of my posts throughout the forums, you'll know that our wedding day (like many others) did not go as planned. We ultimately got married in a private ceremony at a park near our home. However, this was such a blessing in disguise! If we hadn't had to change plans, we would have never done this fantastic shoot with our photographers.
October 24-27, after a month of being married, we took a trip up to Yosemite National Park with our incredible photographers for what they call a "day after" shoot (in quotations since it technically wasn't the next day). You guys... if this is even a remote possibility for you to do, DO IT!!! We got to spend hours going around the park, stopping where our photographer's had creative ideas and just enjoying ourselves. There was no timeline (other than beating the setting sun), no guests trying to get our attention; just the two of us and our amazing photographers. I wore my second dress, did my own hair and makeup, and had my husband dress in his wedding suit. Our photographers just sent us a link of sneak peeks and *astounded expletive*! They made us look like freaking models! I will NEVER have enough positive affirmations for our photographers. They honestly were the best decision we ever made in regards to the wedding, only to be closely followed by deciding to take this trip for a photo shoot. I don't even think I'm putting together coherent words because they've blown me away. Honestly. I'm just going to be over here, drooling and trying to figure out how many pictures is an acceptable amount to hang in my house.
