It's time for a BAM everyone!! We had the best time on Saturday, despite the sudden plummet in temperature, and I wish we could do it all over again! I'm going to have our vendors listed below, as well as some feedback from our day & also wedding planning. So fair warning, this post will be a little lengthy and wordy!
If there's one thing I can't stress enough, it's to have a coordinator. Ours were amazing, and kept the day running smoothly. We didn't have to worry about setting anything up, or taking things down and packing anything before we left. They truly allowed us to be calm and relaxed our whole day.
Second, is to HAVE A SEATING CHART. We made one and every guest had a seat and it helped the flow of traffic from cocktail hour to the reception area.
Don't sweat the small stuff...I was getting so upset over guests cancelling on us the week of the wedding, when in reality it was something I couldn't control and didn't notice much the day of.
Carve out some time to be alone together after the ceremony. We ate separately from our guests in the bridal suite, and had our coordinators set up a table and chairs, as well as our plates of food for us. We exchanged gifts, ate, and decompressed for 20min while our guests got their food table by table. A lot of people frown upon eating away from your guests, but trust me when I say this: THEY DO NOT CARE lol. We were able to eat and enjoy one another without interruptions, and when the 20min were up, we went by each table to greet our guests one by one, which took about 15min tops.
If it's possible for you, have a polaroid guest book!! We looked through ours the day after and LOVED seeing photos of our guests in it alongside their notes to us. We also had guests snapping photos during the reception, so we loved seeing all of the candid photos. They're truly something we'll treasure and love to look at for years to come.
