Bachelorette

Laura, on August 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 9
Hi everyone,
I’m currently brainstorming ideas for my bachelorette party. My MOH organizes it; however, I want to help. The problem is that she’s in vet school, and we can only do it one weekend in January. I wanted to do a cruise or Tulum, but Saturday and Sunday aren’t enough time. My bachelorette party lives far away from me, and she’s in the middle of the country, also. I’m in Miami, and the rest are in New York. Do I need a bachelorette party? Will it be rude if I call it off? It doesn’t make sense for me to gather everyone after 5 pm on a Friday and be finished early morning on a Monday, especially since they are not locals. It’s very frustrating. What are your thoughts?

Hi Laura, you don't need to have a bachelorette party if you don't want one. You can still call it off if nothing has actually been booked. Maybe you can do a mini one when everyone is together for your wedding weekend. If you want one though and if I read i this correctly and most of the attendees live in NY I d plan it in Ny if you can swing that. There's so much do all through out the year throughout the state. You could of course do the city or visit some of the river towns in Westchester. Saratoga is beautiful as are the Finger lakes. There are a bunch of wineries in Long Island. The catskills is lovely too. Best of luck to you

It's very cold that time of the year you know. Especially for them who already are tired of the cold.

It doesn't have to be a destination. A cruise is a lot to expect people to do for a bachelorette. If your group is all over the place it might make more sense not to have one, or maybe have a local one for people that are in the area.

Nope, a bachelorette party is definitely not necessary.

I recently did a weekend in Tulum Friday- Monday was just enough time. Day 1 we had dinner at the Club/restaurant Mistico. Day 2 Atv’s then dinner and 3 we went to Taboo and then had chefs come to the house and that night they had the actual Bachelorette party at the Villa. Check out my recent pics @diamonddez on insta we had a good time.

I know it’s plenty of time! That’s what I have envisioned. But my cousin said that she has to be online for her rotations friday until 4 pm and Monday from 8 am so it’s basically only Saturday and Sunday.

I agree that you don’t have to have one if you don’t want and that it sounds like the easiest would be to just gather everyone when they’re in town for the wedding. If they’re traveling anyway, see if they want to come to the wedding a day early or arrive in the morning of arrival day and do a fun ladies lunch/dinner then.

Oh ok, then I’d say have it in NY and be ok with not everyone being able to make it. Two of my girls couldn’t make Tulum which was ok.
