August Beach honeymoon ideas

We’re getting married that first Weekend of August and we want to go on a honeymoon right away. I’m trying to come up with ideas of where we could go that he hasn’t been before. My fiancé’s really well traveled. And I’m somewhat well traveled but I want us to explore a new place together

He likes the beach and I like hiking / enjoying a museum so ideally somewhere with both. We’re both foodies so also great dining scene is ++ Unfortunately Caribbean and Central America is out with it being hurricane season. It’s winter in Southern Hemisphere so thats also our.

I came up with Iceland, croatia, tenerife, and I liked Nice but he’s been there — Cannes sort of seems a struggle bus to get there ? Our closest airport is MKE but international airport is O’Hare. I’m willing to spend some time getting there but not a ton. I looked at the Maldives and 26+ hours of travel is just out of the question.
Let your mind run wild and don’t worry about the budget. I just am stumbling a little bit on where else we should go.

Iceland would not be a beach place. It is cold ha ha. I would suggest Barcelona or South of Spain as you will have tons of culture but then you will have the beaches. Also, consider Greece and go to South America as many countries are below the bible belt. Peru has Machu Pichu and Lima the capital is coastal so there is the ocean or Florida is all beaches. You can do Key West and then you are at the Southern most part of Florida near Cuba.

We are going on our honeymoon in August! We picked Aruba because it is one of the few Caribbean islands out of the hurricane belt (:

Yes but it's hurricane season so Florida is sort of out He's been to Greece and most mediterranean places. I'll check into Lima and current weather there.

We are getting married August 16, 2020 and leaving the next day for Iceland for ten days. It will not be too cold. Averages about 65 and even gets up to 70. Definitely not tropical, but it's a magical place for sure. I cannot wait!
We are driving around the Ring Road, which goes around the whole island, and we will be in a motor home. Definitely not a pampering style honeymoon, but that's not what we want. We will stay in a fancy hotel for two nights during the ten days, but the motor home is all we really need. We're going on a cruise in April of 2020, so I will be able to get some tropical time this year

I'll definitely check out seychelles,that wasn't one I had thought of before. My fiance has been to Italy and Greece so I was trying to not duplicate, but these two locations also keep coming up too. I was also thinking of Croatia, Mallorca, Malaga and Tenerife.
