attention royal caribbean Honeymooners!

Casey, on May 25, 2018 at 9:46 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 12

There is a HUGE memorial day sale going on for excursions and cruise planner things!! I had already booked all my excursions and the alcohol packages, BUT with RC you can cancel, get a full refund, and re-book for the discounted price. The alcohol package is on sale, as are many excursions. I've already saved $150 by re-booking our alcohol packages and just one excursion!

Do it! I'm cruising to the Caribbean for 11 days, it's going to be amazing! And in total I saved $200 cancelling and rebooking 4 excursions and our alcohol package.

Thank you! We booked in march and got $75 on board credit but then they had a deal with more credit and now I'm sure they are offering more. I'll look into this.

Even if they can't match onboard credit, you can definitely get some deals with excursions, drink packages, internet, and specialty dining. Normally we don't do specialty dining but since it's a honeymoon and FH has never been on a big vacation we're doing a lunch at Chops Grille!

I just checked, none of the excursions for my cruise seem to be on sale Smiley amazing . I feel like it's because I'm cruising in Europe. Well, they have a deal on chops grille and I had wanted to book a meal there so I guess I'll book that. The alcohol drink package is currently buy one get one half off but it's still too costly for FH and I on a 9 night cruise

Yeah I definitely dropped a lot of money for our 11 night cruise on the alcohol package. For us it's worth it because drinks really are that expensive onboard, and the only free drinks of any kind you'll receive are water, tea, and lemonade. And regular coffee I think. BOGO HO (Or basically 25% off each guest) is usually the cheapest you'll find it - at rare times you'll get it for 30% off but I've only seen that once.

    Good luck!

ETA: If you're cruising after September they'll probably go on sale again in July for independence day and again later for labor day, so maybe check again then!

Yeah, Carnival is the same way. only lemonade, tea, water and regular coffee. I was planning on the soda package and I was going to get a coffee card ($31 for 15 drinks). FH isn't much of a coffee drinker. Do you know if the deluxe package covers bottled water too? I love the idea of having all of our drinks pre-paid for so it's so tempting...

Yes it does cover bottled water (but not the ones sitting in the stateroom when you first arrive, don't get tricked)! That's another reason we will enjoy it. Grabbing a few bottles of water on the way out to port is definitely a plus.

I think there is also an in-between package that covers everything, including bottled water and premium coffees/juices, except alcoholic beverages. Whereas the soda is just the freestyle soda machines.

Also, I believe with the drink packages there is also an extra gratuity that is added in. For the deluxe it makes sense because you are basically pre-paying alcoholic beverages tips, but if you decide to go that route it's an extra 18% on the total cost, which is like an extra $100-$200 depending on the length of time. I'm not sure about the other packages.
