Asking for everyone’s address

Brianna, on September 13, 2023 at 10:41 AM Posted in Planning 1 9
Hey everyone! I am at that point of the process where I need to get everyone’s addresses to send our save the dates, is there any easier way other than messaging every single individual? Does this app/website allow you to mass text all of your guest to ask them for their address? Thank you!

So what we did was ask our moms for addresses of those we knew they would have their addresses. Anyone outside of that, if we didn't already have their address then we sent them a text requesting their address and explained why we needed it.

There is a way on the app to ask for addresses - I just haven't figured out yet on the website where they load into for other export.

Our parents took care of providing a lot of addresses and xmas cards took care of another bunch. But for the remaining ones, if you use the app, go to "guests", click on a guest and scroll to the bottom of their card where it says "contact information" and then it will allow you to ask your guest for missing information. They cannot see any information you have already put in like what you named them or are inviting them to.

Hey Brianna! I just went through this as well. If you have a Zola website, they can create a link for you to text to your guests. You click the “guest list and RSVPs” tab and then click “contact collector.” The guests will click the link and put in their address! It automatically saves to Zola’s website and you have them all in one place. We found this to be easiest for us! Hope this helps!

We created a google form and emailed everyone for their information. You will still need to reach out to the people you dont have emails for but it makes it a lot easier and helps avoid accidentally collecting inaccurate info. (typos etc.)

We are having a few events over the course of our wedding weekend and majority of people will be traveling to attend. The google form allowed us to ask a few more questions to get a better idea of who is PLANNING on attending and what wedding block they are interested in( We have 2 hotel options). We made sure to make them aware that the form was not the official invite, but collecting info for the save the dates and official invitations.

Be sure to ask them to submit their full name & guests name if applicable, phone #'s & mailing address & if they plan on attending.

I hope this helps. Happy planning!
