Asheville nc Wedding

Google is a wonderful thing- you can get the average weather & even narrow it down by the month.

As a visitor to just outside Asheville, the Month of May has always been tied with a September as the best time to visit. Spring waters are high coming down from the mountains. The weather is heating up but not sticky hot, no hurricanes blowing through. Everything is in bloom, and tourist things are all fresh and clean. And like most tourist areas ( we live in one) it is easier for the local people to be welcoming and friendly all around at the May beginning of the season than later. Although their local schools and most of the south are out, northern schools are still running, so it limits the number of visitors til mid June.

I think that's doable, especially if you're used to FL weather. I went on a backpacking trip in April 2019 in the NC mountains and it was pretty hot, and I also went to college a couple hours south of there and by mid-May it was hot as hell. But I think AVL is workable, especially if your venue is at a higher altitude, it could be great!

I'm originally from Asheville, NC but move to Colorado. From what I remember it usually very humid and hot in May I would definitely use google and check the weather. You can always ask your wedding planner if there is a better time during the month of May especially if your planning on having an outside ceremony.
