Aruba or Curacao honeymoon??? Will we be bored??

Kaly, on January 23, 2016 at 1:42 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5

We are trying to look for a Caribbean honeymoon in October, but are afraid that we will be stuck in a hurricane. I have done a lot of research and know that Aruba, Curacao, and Bonaire are all outside the hurricane belt. My fiance and I are pretty active people and while we want to have some relaxing time on the beach, we don't want to be stuck sitting at a resort the whole time. Has anyone been to either of these islands and were there fun excursions or things to do, besides sit on a beach all day? Has anyone ever gone to both islands in one trip?

I loved Aruba. There are a lot of fun activities to do there and the beaches are gorgeous. There are a lot of things to do and see in Curacao also, but I wasn't a fan of the beaches (they are really rocky) or the food. My friend got married in Curacao a while ago. Her and her husband left to go on their honeymoon to Aruba a few days after a wedding. It was a really short flight, so I don't think it would be a hassle to island hop during your honeymoon.

Aruba & Curacao are equally beautiful so you may be able to do both depending on the length of your honeymoon since they are close. Also Aruba & Curacao are not in the hurricane belt so they never get hurricanes .

Aruba definitely has more activities than Curacao. Also in Aruba you can easily rent a jeep and go exploring on your own. Curacao does not have the world class beaches like Aruba's.

I have been to Aruba and Curacao, you are correct they are outside the hurricane belt so that is good news. Aruba is more of a destination than Curacao. I am a honeymoon destination specialist in case you have any specific questions, I will be happy to answer.

    Thanks

Hi Dinora - I am also looking for honeymoon and Aruba CS curacao. I def want beautiful beaches but love carribean feel and landscape I’m afraid we may get bored in Curacao. We don’t drink or gamble and don’t like the south beach feel but it seems Aruba will have more to do still?
