Are you excited about Honeymoon Planning? What's on the agenda?

Chanieish, on October 8, 2019 at 9:26 AM Posted in Honeymoon 1 18
Hi everyone!

Is it bad that now most of the big wedding planning stuff is done (and fiancé is super involved and helpful) that I am now more excited to plan the HONEYMOON???

Where are y'all off to? Are you leaving right after the wedding? Are you like me where I have every second of the honeymoon planned even "beach relaxation time" haha!

We are going to the Maldives (one night stopover in Singapore to eat delicious food!) then Florence and Rome for about two weeks.

Are you using a travel agent? I didn't think I needed one since I love researching and booking stuff myself, but I didn't know that some of them offer a free service and allow you some nice upgrades/amenities at luxury hotels! I love my travel agent and will use one more often now!

I can't decide if I'm excited or stressed about honeymoon planning lol. But no travel agent!

We will be leaving right after the wedding, driving halfway to the honeymoon and getting a hotel room that night. Then we'll drive the rest of the way the next day and stay for about a week. We'll have a cabin in the mountains with a hot tub and fireplace, and head to town whenever we feel like it. We're homebodies for the most part, but we'll definitely go out to nice restaurants, some wine tasting, and this motorcycle history museum that I know FH will love!

We're going to be in Maggie Valley, NC which is about 3 hours from where we live. We'll be traveling about 30 mins out of town some days to a casino in Cherokee and then The Biltmore and other activities in Asheville Smiley smile

Your honeymoon sounds so fun! We're going to Providenciales, Turks & Caicos and leaving 2 days after the wedding. We didn't go through a travel agent. I'm really experienced at planning trips (as I'm the planner for all family/friend trips I go on) so I wanted to do everything myself! We got our flights almost free due to credit card reward miles and found a great deal for our oceanfront condo on HomeAway! We have several things lined up for the honeymoon but still have to book them! We'll be doing that in the next few weeks.

We have FINALLY decided after much deliberation we will be headed to... *drumroll* HAWAII!!

Our wedding is in 31 days, but we will be waiting a little over a month to do our honeymoon due to our work schedules (he's in the Navy and I am in patient care). I am having a fun time now planning the honeymoon. HOWEVER, it is a bit stressful just because 1) it is over New Years and 2) we waited so long to plan and book due to work schedules. Luckily everything is coming together perfectly Smiley heart

My honeymoon was booked and planned before the wedding. Before I suckered in and decided to pay the expenses for a big wedding, the honeymoon was actually my only focus. Anyway, we are going on a 8 day cruise to St. Maarten, St. Kitts and, St. Lucia with another stop in between. We’re leaving about a month after the wedding. I wanted to get out of hurricane season since we’re marrying in Nov. I don’t think we needed a travel agent but researching into the pros and cons is best. Enjoy!!

Your honeymoon sounds awesome! We went to Hawaii for 7 nights two days after our wedding. It was so relaxing but a great mix of relaxing & activities. We did a snorkel & snuba boat tour, an ATV tour, a luau, a lot of snorkeling just on our own & swimming, and a TON of eating haha!

We will be leaving 47 days after our wedding because of our work schedules. We are going on an 11 night cruise that departs on Christmas Eve and comes back a few days after New Years. The boat will stop in Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia, Aruba, and Haiti. I've done a lot of traveling in my life, so it was priority to go places I haven't before. No travel agent for us though, I like planning too much!

We leave for Aruba 2 days after the wedding and we used a travel agent. It just made everything so much easier, with already doing so much wedding planning. Neither of us have been there and we are super excited for a week of relaxation.

Maldives is on our list of possibilities. My FH is really into going to places that have stuff to do but that most people wouldnt think to do. Like for us Hawaii is over played.

He is really into planning and I dont think he would use a travel agent but I will talk it over with him. It sounds like a good idea especially for out of the country travel but he loves looking for good deals on better than average seating.

Definitely keep it on your list, it is a popular destination, but oh so beautiful and luxurious! It is a far flight from the U.S. though.

We're going to Walt Disney World!! Turns out he's NEVER been!!! We're going two days after the wedding (married on Saturday in NC, home on Sunday in GA, down on Monday in FL) for the week Smiley smile We're planning on staying at one of the resorts for part of the time (because let's face it. They hella expensive, but HELLA fun!) and of course hitting up the parks to give him the full experience.
