Are most beaches in Jamaica/caribbean topless or nude?

I’ve been to Jamaica and St. Lucia within the past year and that is false. Sure, there are probably some particular resorts that allow that, but it’s not a general rule for the entire area. What a strange thing for the travel agent to say.

I'm like well I certainly dont want to cause a stir between me and my husband in a situation like that especially on our honeymoon God forbid. Now I'm like really off-put to those areas since she said that *sigh*

I've been to the nude beach in St. Maarten and it's separate from the regular beaches. You'd have to deliberately go there to see nekkid people. I've never seen nudity in other Caribbean islands, like St. Thomas or the Bahamas. But I suppose there might be the occasional topless sunbather.
I don't know why she'd say that.

Topless, and it's all laid back. Most Europeans will walk with spouse down the beach, but in a respectful way. Very little crazy flaunting stuff going on, usually the drunk girl that everyone, including guys wish she pass out. If you are totally uncomfortable, last I knew the pool area is not topless. But it's all human nature and really, laying in the sun, whi wants strap and top lines?,

You’re not in the US anymore so many vacationers take some liberties, especially those from Europe as a previous poster noted. It is what it is. I’ve seen nude beaches or topless folks on every Caribbean island I’ve been to (atleast 6) and Hawaii.

Just look up the beaches before heading out. No big deal. Trip advisor is your friend. How would this cause a stir between you two?

No. I’ve been to over a dozen islands in the Caribbean and they’re not all topless. You would have to go to specified beaches for that. Not sure why your travel agent is pointing that out when it’s certainly not true.

I would get a different travel agent. Also, it is a little concerning that you're worried about your FH's roving eye. Can he not control himself, especially on your honeymoon? Even if women aren't topless most of the swimsuits leave little to the imagination.

I've seen women sunbathing topless on Miami Beach. It is what it is. To address your main concern -- no, people are not all walking around nude on every beach in the Caribbean. But yes, some women may choose to go topless, it's quite normal in other cultures.

There are certain resorts that have topless beaches, and some tourists will probably be topless, but that can happen anywhere.

It's just bodies, and in other countries they aren't as hung up on nudity. If you aren't comfortable with nudity-then don't go to the topless and nude beaches. Simple.
