April 2020 Weddings!

Jordan, on February 2, 2020 at 2:43 PM Posted in Planning 0 15

Where is everyone at in the planning process?

I still feel like there is a ton to do and I am stressing a little. But slowly getting things done.

So exciting though, less than 3 months for us! We are getting married on April 25, 2020.

We’re getting married on the same day. I’m stressing too, even though we have most of our stuff done.

I still have to • Send Invites this week• Write our ceremony script• Buy flower girl dress & shoes (our daughter)• Buy tie & belt for groom• Buy cups & silverware• Decide on how we will decorate ceremony area• Buy a few more decoration items• I’d like to do a test run on our centerpieces• Buy gifts for our parents & people helping with the wedding
    ....hmm - I think that’s it?

Our main things to do left is still to order suits, flights for honeymoon, gifts for the parents, and make some lanterns for the reception. We did send our invitations a week or so ago and picked our decorations. But we do also have to do our ceremony script. Feels like a ton hah

Mines is April 26th. I still have so much to do it’s ridiculous! Still have to send out invitations (going out this week), get passport for honeymoon (doing this week as well), buy bridesmaids accessories, guys need to be fitted for suits, buy fiancés ring, get marriage license, make all final payments, and have all vendor final meetings 😩 I’m stressing slightly and ready for it to be over!

It does feel like a lot - but, my main concern is that it all comes together like I have it imagined in my head. Lol

    Mine is April 18th!
Really it’s just small projects like making our seating chart (which we can do in about a month), we already sent out invites, as ours is considers a destination for our friends and family since it’s over 3 hours away.
We need to get the men’s suits, but just need to pick them up which is first week in April! Finalizing our timeline, which we pretty much have done. And really just get any little things we think of. Otherwise we are pretty much done!

I'm April 4th! I am waiting on final RSVPs so I can update rentals, catering and order favors. Need to check in with vendors about arrival/departure times. Just the small stuff really until a month before when deposits for some are due. I am going back & forth on hiring a day-of coordinator and I need to rent a photo booth but I'm hoping to get that done this week.

The stress is getting real now!

We got a photo booth and a day of coordinator. The photo booth looks super cute and something nice for the guest to have and we get a copy of all the picture which would be a ton of fun to look through. For the day of coordinator, hopefully it will be worth it, i'm sure it will be. I want to be the least amount of stress possible on that day. Congrats!

It kind of helps me when I do/ only look at one thing at a time until that is done before i move onto the next. When i look at the whole picture it gets super overwhelming for me. Good luck and congrats!

April 4th here! We're just starting to get rsvps back, so we can know where people will be sitting. Most stuff is locked in place and I started my fittings! It's so stressful but fun too!

That is great advice! I also group everything up and it definitely gets overwhelming! I will try that to ease my mind a bit. And same to you!

April 11th here! Not much wedding wise to be done! Invites have been sent. I need to nail down my hair arrangements, order donuts for reception, go to my alterations appt on Sunday, and make sure GM have started thinking about ordering their shirts and pants. On Friday I'm having another DIY project day with a BM to knock a few decorations off the list.
Mostly it's non wedding stuff I'm stressing about and need to get figured--we still don't have a place to live. We probably need another car before/very soon after the wedding and I need to get a full time job.

    Hello, I am getting married on April 24th. Still need the following;
    *finish purchasing items for centerpieces
*purchase more place card holders*spray some items with gold*select music for dances (half ways done)*meet with DJ for venue walk thru & song selections *meet with lady who sets up/tears downs*1 more hair trial*2 more fittings *purchase marriage license in March*purchase plane tickets for honeymoon *plan our big exit *Finalized timeline *Groomsmen need to get fitted this month
I think that's all. Do I have too many things? For some reason I'm not stressing at all about anything .
