I officially ordered my dress! I love it, I’m so excited. Anyone have a cape veil, I love the cape but not the price tag. Considering ordering matching tulle and appliqués from the designer and having one made. Would love to see pictures of other capes for inspiration.

Take a look at Etsy. Make sure to filter search for US shops only.

I love the look of the cape!!

Thanks, I’ll look on there more. Didn’t think to filter by US shops, but that’s a good idea!

I am 100% about that cape. Makes you look like an Arthurian fantasy queen.

I love the effect the cape has on your dress. I’d definitely check out Etsy. DB has an inexpensive one also.

YES! I am making my own cape veil. I bought extra fabric when I ordered my dress. Once it comes in I will be making my own. I am super excited!

This definitely sounds like the way to go, when is your wedding? How much fabric did you order? She said we would probably need 3 yards. Are you adding anything to it or just doing the tulle?

My wedding is August 28th. I am planning on getting 5 yards but that's because I want a cathedral level cape, but 3 yards would be great to get to the floor and and a little train. Because I am wanting such a long train, I am getting extra wide tulle at 108" instead of the standard 60" wide. As of now, I am just adding clips to put it into my straps. But I would like to add decorative pins to the outside of the tulle where it attaches to the dress, I just haven't come across anything yet! But I am scouring etsy!
