Anyone from Tennessee?

Samantha, on June 23, 2020 at 3:32 PM Posted in Tennessee Planning 0 8

My fiance and I live in Ohio and we've booked a cabin in Gatlinburg, TN for our honeymoon in mid-July. I'm just curious as to how things are in TN right now as far as COVID. Are things opened/closed? Are masks required everywhere or just depends on the place? Also, any recommendations would be great, too! Smiley smile

I don’t live in Tennessee, so I’m not sure about restrictions, but it seems most things are open. I live in Kentucky so we and a lot of our friends and family travel to TN often. I would definitely recommend checking out Cherokee Grill and Crockett’s Breakfast Camp!

I live in Tennessee, and we are almost completely open. There are 6 counties that are doing their own re-opening phases, and I don't think Gatlinburg is one of those, so you should be fine! 🙂 Let me know if you have any other questions

I live in Tennessee, and most things are open. I did see on the news that residents/business owners in Gatlinburg were frustrated by the amount of visitors not wearing masks. Just something to be aware of! Have fun! 😊

I live in GA and we are open and masks are required in some places. My DH and I went to Gatlinburg for our honeymoon the first week of March. We had so much fun!! We stayed for a week and did so much in that time frame!! We stayed in our cabin one day! We had hot tub, outdoor jacuzzi and an indoor pool in the basement!! Just off my memory we did the following: Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, Comedy Barn Theater, Paula Deen's Lumberjack Feud, The Wonders of Magic Show (very boring…), MagiQuest, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, The Tomb, Sugarlands Distilling (moonshine tasting), Ripley's Marvelous Mirror Maze, Earthquake the ride (this was like 5 minutes, so if you need to waste some time lol), Ripley’s Mirror Maze, Gatlinburg SkyLift Park and a few wine tastings. Anakeesta and Dollywood were closed because it was off season.

We ate at Bullfish, Mama’s Farmhouse (they bring the food to you), Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen (also brings food to you), and Harpoon Harry’s Crab House. Some of the shows feed you, so we just had whatever they served. We also tried rolled ice cream at Curl de la Crème. I’m sure there were more things that we did just by walking through Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. It was such a fun honeymoon compared the beach trips we take each year. You will have so much fun!!

Oh wow, thank you so much for sharing! Neither of us have been South past South Carolina, so we're really excited to see the Smoky Mountains. Our cabin has a hot tub and jacuzzi and our cabin place has a pool. But we definitely want to go out and see/do as much as we can.

Not a problem! I'm originally from NJ and I will tell you that the scenery down here is breathtaking especially the mountain areas. There was a hike that one of my coworkers told us to try out, but we never made it. I don't remember the name of the hiking area but it had 'Cove' in the name lol. I hope you guys have FUN!

I live in Tennessee & was just in Gatlinburg a few weeks ago! My cousin just got back from Gatlinburg yesterday all is open there & back to near normal! Facemasks are optional & almost all the stores have hand sanitizing stations at the door. But I still reccomend bringing your own. You have GOT to eat at tge Old Mill!!! If kill for me off their corn fritters right now! And do the farris wheel at the Island! Fantastic views! Ooooo Akari the new sky bridge is got a glass section to walk over right in the middle! Good luck & have fun! The mountains are calling and YOU must go!!!
