Anyone else hiking on honeymoon? Cute outfit ideas?

Summer, on April 23, 2018 at 11:18 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 33

Idk about you but I always pictured wearing cute outfits on my honeymoon - but we'll be spending most of the time in the wilderness in August. I'm not great with sporty/hiking looks - any inspiration would be helpful! Would prefer to still look cute and feminine while being somewhat practical...

How about some of the cute yoga outfits you see? Or leggings and racerback tees?

I'd probably wear black leggings, hiking boots, and then layers - tank and flannel!

Is the area colder or warmer?

Get some good hiking boots for sure, and then some cute racerbacks like others have said and either yoga/sports pants or shorts!

Pinterest for outfit inspo is amazing!

It really depends where and what kind of hiking you’re doing. If it’s just simple trails you can just go in sport leggings, good hiking boots or sneakers, and a wicking shirt or tank top

Actually, as an experienced hiker I would very concerned with safety and comfort as well. Are you a hiker now? If not get thee to a outdoor store NOW and get fitted for hiking boots. Get clothes that will drip dry quickly and yes, if you are overnighting you will need special underwear - 100%, if it gets wet will take forever to dry.

What kind of hiking are you doing? Leave No Trace where you carry all your gear in a backpack? If so, get a backpack FITTED TO YOU....I can't stress this enough.

Practical trumps looks in this department - sorry to be blunt! Be safe and have fun!

All of this. Being prepared is way more important than being cute.

I fully understand that safety and comfort are important. But that's not what this post was about. Sorry if I didn't explain in OP, but we're not camping overnight or doing anything terribly strenuous. I have good hiking boots, daypack, first aid kit, tactical bracelet and some other gear JUST in case. I'm really covered, thanks for the advice but was just looking for some fashion ideas. I appreciate everyone's concern but personally I believe you can be smart and prepared AND a girly girl who cares what you're wearing - especially on your honeymoon.

Main reason I'm having such difficulty shopping is that it ranges from 90 during the day to 20 degrees at night where we'll be, so I will have to layer! May set out in racerbacks and shorts but pack some yoga pants and flannels for later in the day. Thank you!

Just wear cute leggings, hiking boots, and a tank top. Might also wear a baseball cap and and bring a long sleeve just in case the sun is too much.

I just bought a ton of stuff from Title Nine. So comfortable AND cute! And usually moisture wicking. These shorts: https://www.titlenine.com/product/rogue-womens-short-9-120918.do?sortby=ourPicks&refType=&from=fn are the lightest thing I've ever worn. I bought it also as a capri and a skort.

Me, me, me! I'm going to Estes Park, CO for my honeymoon... though I probably won't look that cute on hikes LOL. A good pair of hiking boots are a must. Another item I like are vests!! They add warmth to your core and give you pockets (and are cute)!! A good, cute pair of sunglasses are also a necessity.

    Where are you going???

Another thought, me and FH are doing a couples massage the last day of our trip to recover from our hiking, might be something nice to consider Smiley smile

Thanks! We'll be going to Glacier NP but I looked at Estes Park, it looked amazing! That sounds awesome, definitely looking for ways to get relaxed and get pampered while still being off-the-grid a little.

OMG STOP!!! I'm so jealous! I went to Glacier last summer, you will have an amazing time! It was the best trip I ever went on!! Not sure how much research you've done but you have to go up to Polebridge. It's a quirky little town like 20 miles north on the West side of the park. They have the best bakery I've ever been to.

Have a wonderful time!! And yes, the weather absolutely can be unpredictable there but it should be pretty nice in August!
