Any Venue Ideas that won't break the bank?

Barbara, on February 24, 2021 at 6:57 PM Posted in Maryland Planning 0 12

Hi, I want a beautiful rustic venue that won't break the bank. I'm pretty flexible on location and can make rustic happen anywhere. Price matters most to me because i'm working with a budget. What do ya'll think?

Do you want specific places? If so you need to let us know what area you're looking in.

If you want general ideas. Barns/farms would be best. Then wineries. Or an older less modern VFW or firehall you could possible decorate to be rustic. Maybe even an outdoor park with a shelter.

Go to eventective.com and look for venues that allow outside catering. Your overall fees will be much less than an all inclusive

Since everyone has different opinions on what a good price is I don't want to start posting any and them being more expensive than what you wanted. However I went on eventective and found these! https://www.eventective.com/gaithersburg-md/wedding-venues/?f=5521283

I'm guessing DC will be a tad more expensive

Have you looked at/are you interested in Frederick, MD? There's several options there for a decent price! My cousin got married at Morningside Inn on a Sunday to keep costs down and it was beautiful. There's also a ton of wineries in the area. Anything in or south of Montgomery County is gonna be more much pricey and likely more modern than rustic.

Price depends on the location. Major metro cities are always more expensive but you can find some inexpensive diamonds in the rough by setting search features to whatever your budget is

I live in MD and my husband works in DC and I would say DC is definitely going to be more expensive than MD. We got married in PA since that's where I am from and it was cheaper than getting married in MD or NJ where my husband is from. One thing you can do to keep costs down is just serve beer and wine rather than a full open bar.
