Any ideas of what to fill favor boxes with other than the traditional candy?

Private User, on July 4, 2011 at 12:34 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 19

I've ordered these wedding favor boxes, and my plan is to fill them with white wedding almonds as pictured. But I'm curious, has anyone found anything else to fill their wedding favors with? I'd like to do something different, but can't quite think of anything.

M&Ms in your wedding colors would be cute.... get them personalized with your name and maybe even a picture of the two of you would be even better!

You could also put like a brownie in it? Just cut it to size and wrap with some clear wrap first.

Chocolate covered pretzels (the little ones) or chocolate covered peanuts (or just plain peanuts lol)

Jelly Belly (jelly beans) in your wedding colors

You could buy little chocolate molds and melt in your chocolate into it to make shapes that go along with your theme. Candy Melts also come in different colors.

Hershey Kisses or mini hershey bars (you can make and print out or buy little labels to wrap around the candy bars and the kisses have little circle ones that go on the bottom)

    Chocolate Truffles

I attempted the melt and mold chocolate idea....EPIC FAIL lol so I found gummies to go with our theme. We got 15lbs of Gummies shaped like fish, sand dollars, seahorses, startfish etc. We got 5lbs of gummie penguins and will put 2 in each to represent fh and i

Sorry to hear the melt and mold chocolate idea failed. Did you use the right chocolate? Did you let it harden long enough? I like the gummy thing and the penguins sound cute.

We are on a strict budget! Like most. Smiley winking I bought the clear boxes from walmart on clearance for $2 for 50 of them. Smiley smile yay me! So anyways we checked out the colored m&ms and that was out of our budget. So we decided to get a nut mix and and then we are going to make a trail mix. We r gonna buy a pound of each color of m&ms and mix it the nuts! Saving lots of $!

I too don't want to do the candy thing and came up with the idea of doing a favor gift bag (much like a loot bag from a birthday party). I went on the oriental trading site to see what different favors they have available so I'm gonna buy little gift bags in the wedding colors and put a few different things in them. I'm gonna order personalized pens and pencils and also put in some dinner mints, brownie pops and sugar cookies.

You can pretty much put whatever you want into the gift bags and as much or as little as you want. I wanted to do something a little different than what I normally see at weddings and I love what I came up with.

What about flower/plant seeds? I am getting this idea from Bloomboxes, which are really expensive, but you could do something similar. I thought seeds would make cute wedding favors. You could also include instructions on how to plant the seeds, depending on what type they are, and then have a quote to go inside the boxes as well (again, I got this from the bloomboxes).

I went to a wedding once before and they put cookies . I bought some 4x4 fabvor boxes and I was going to put hershey kisses (purple-dark choc and gold-almond) . But I changed my mine once again.

** If anyone want the boxes I will give them away for FREE , just pay to ship them. I have included a photo of the boxes and I have 100 of them .

Love the idea of wedding favor boxes! If you're looking for something unique, how about filling them with small succulents or wildflower seeds? It adds a touch of greenery and eco-friendliness while also being a lasting reminder of your special day. Plus, it's a wonderful way to symbolize growth and new beginnings.
