Any February 2021 wedding in Va? How y’all feeling?

Hey! I'm getting married in Richmond on 2/26/2021. I thought the restrictions were down to 10 people. We originally had a guest list of about 100. I wasn't super stressed when it went down to 25 because that still included our family and closest friends. When it went down to 10 though my heart shattered. That doesn't even leave enough for all of our immediate family. We're definitely still doing the ceremony that day but I'm thinking of cancelling the reception at this point. I just don't see the point for only 10 people

View Quoted Comment Oh I didn’t know it went down to 10 now. 😔 - the governor said its ending on the 31st of January and they will re-evaluate. But I’m nervous because I’m not sure if I should wait to hear what happens or just reschedule.

Yeah I know. At that point it's so close that even if it did go back up to 25 or 50 or whatever it wouldn't really be enough time for everybody to change their plans I think. Most of our guests are out of town so there's plane tickets and stuff involved for all of them too

It sucks! I think if anything we'll just do a fancy dinner after the ceremony with immediate family and maybe reschedule a big reception after everything gets lifted

I feel you! My wedding is scheduled for March 6. We're hoping for the best when the governor announces an update at the end of January. I told my FH that we'll get married on the side of the road before I reschedule again! My concern at this point is that our venue won't let us hold an event if the current restrictions remain in place (when it was like this a year ago, they had us reschedule). I'm sure it's even more stressful to plan something in early February!!
